At the Pinacoteca Nazionale di Bologna you can find the Baby Pit Stop, a breastfeeding area with a changing table located in the service areas adjacent to the exhibition rooms on the basement floor.
The Baby Pit Stop can be reached via the staircase (three flights of stairs and 30 steps) or by using the lift.
The Baby Pit Stop was realised thanks to the Soroptimist Club of Bologna and is part of the broader UNICEF programme “Together for breastfeeding”, aimed at raising awareness of this act.
The Baby Pit Stop at the Pinacoteca is one of seven specially equipped spaces in Bologna: the others are located at the Museo internazionale della Musicain four locations of the Sistema Museale di Ateneo (Palazzo Poggi, Museo Giovanni Capellini, Orto Botanico ed Erbario, Collezione di Zoologia) and at the Museo Nazionale di Marzabotto.
